We do not generally collect cookies. Occasionally we may sometimes set temporary cookies if we wish to run advertising campaigns. However if we are collecting cookies we will use a cookie notice to alert you to this and to tell you our cookies policy so that you can opt in or out. Those cookies contains no personal data and will only ever be used in anonymised ad campaigns for The Holt itself. You can refuse to accept cookies with no loss of service on this site as there is nothing to log in to. If there is no cookie warning, then we are not collecting cookies as we do not generally do so, as most of our business comes from repeat customers rather than advertising.

If you email us via the email address or contact form provided we will reply directly to you so your information will only be held by us in our email service.
If you make a booking enquiry or a booking via our availability page or any bookings widgets on the site, that data is processed by a piece of secure software called Bookalet. Information is used to communicate with you about your enquiry or booking, to send information before, during and after your stay. It is then kept within Bookalet in case you decide to return to us so you don’t need to repeat information we use to make your stay perfect for you. If at any point (after your enquiry or stay is complete) you don’t want us to keep your booking information, you can email us and we will delete it.
Outside of an active booking, we use your name and email address only to send updates to you about loyalty discounts or unexpected availability etc in case you wish to return in future. We use a secure email service called Mailerlite to do this. If at any point you don’t want us to email you, you can click on the unsubscribe link in any email, and it will stop you receiving emails. If you furthermore wish us to delete your email date from our secure service you can let us know and we will be happy to delete it.
We use Google analytics and Bing analytics to analyse our web traffic so we can make sure we are getting enough traffic and to see what our best keywords are. Therefore anonymised data about web statistics is collected by Google and Bing in the usual way when visiting this site as for most other sites.
How long we retain your data
We don’t collect any data on this site, but if you contact us to make an enquiry or booking we will keep your data for two years if you do not make a booking, or indefinitely if you do stay with us. You can ask at any time to have your details deleted from our files. No personal data is stored in this site.
What rights you have over your data
If you make a booking or enquiry to stay at our self catering accommodation in Church Stretton, you can request to receive a list of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
