Bedrooms

A kingsize metal framed bed with two cream bedside cupboards, a biscuit coloured carpet and some decorative pictures on the walls behind. The bed is made up with cream and gold linen and has two sets of gold and brown fluffy towels. This is the main bed in the family room at The Holt at Church Stretton.

The Holt holiday home has three bedrooms:

  • A large family room with ensuite
  • A kingsize room
  • A twin room (can be converted to a superking on request).
  • There are also additional beds on request for larger families and details are given at the bottom of the page.

All rooms contain hairdryers, bedside lights and a shaver adapter (2 pin to 3 pin) plug. The rooms also have a waste bin, full length and cosmetic mirrors, towel rail and some complimentary toiletries.


Here are our holiday home three bedrooms

Family Room

The family room has a kingsize bed and a single day bed, which can be used as a sofa or recliner if you are not sharing the room, or is a perfect bed for children. There is also a pull out single (stored beneath the day bed) or room for a travel cot.

The family room has a built-in wardrobe with a full size mirror, plus a dresser with mirror and drawers, and an ensuite shower room.

Kingsize Room

The second bedroom has a kingsize bed and two bedside tables with wall lights. There is room for a travel cot or we can re-arrange the layout to fit a single Zbed on request.

It has a solid wood tallboy wardrobe with dresser top and a chest of drawers. 

There is a full length mirror on the wall as well as the dresser mirror, and a ceiling fan for hotter days as this side of the house is sunnier.

Twin Room

The twin room has two single beds, with a conversion kit which allows us to change them into a superking size bed. Please let us know on booking if you wish us to convert the bed to superking and fit with superking bedding. There is room for a travel cot.

Bathrooms

There are three bathrooms at The Holt.

The family room has a small ensuite shower room.

The other bedrooms have a generous family bathroom to share, with a bath, shower over the bath, toilet and large sink.

In addition there is a large shower room on the ground floor with toilet and sink to be used by anyone in the house. This is great for times when you come in muddy from a good walk! And can also be very helpful for any guests sleeping on the sofa bed.

Additional beds and bedding

The Holt holiday home has three bedrooms, but with our extra beds and bathrooms it is perfect for multi-generational families or groups of walking friends to get together. Some parts of the family may stay for the duration and others might come in just for a couple of nights to visit. For this reason we have spare beds to help!

The living room has a small double sofa bed which can fit one adult or couple. There is a small single day bed in the family room which can be made up, as well as a single trundle pull out underneath which can be made up for you and slides away during the day. There is a Zbed with a normal single bed mattress which can be put up in the kingsize room. We also have a travel cot which can fit in any room on request. If you want to see the different layouts you could do to figure out whether your family group will work at the Holt, here is a little diagram. Please ask if you want any details.

It means that we can fit up to six adults in the bedrooms, either sharing the beds as couples, or using the day bed and Zbed if two people are happy to share the room but not a bed. With the sofa bed, this means we can accommodate up to six or seven friends who don't share a bed.

All additional beds must be arranged in advance by ticking them in the extras section of your booking form. We do not charge for many of these extras - as we charge a supplement for additional guests over six in the party to cover laundry costs - but we do need to know about them in advance because some of them require rearrangement of layouts or special bedding to be brought on site.
