Shropshire holiday cottage availability

The Holt is available all year round, generally booking from Friday to Friday. 

At some times of the year it is available for short breaks.

We offer the following deals for both new and regular customers:

          – discount for very small groups 

          – short breaks at up to 40% off the standard house price

Availability

The calendar shows when The Holt is available, so you can check for your preferred dates.


Green dates are available.   Pink dates are already firmly booked, sorry!  Orange dates are our changeover day so you may start or end on an orange day (or run a two or three week booking straight through one).

Sometimes bookings are in progress so they may appear green but be part way through the process, so please enquire as soon as possible if you want to check a date or secure it.

Prices 2024

  • w/c Friday January 5th through to w/c Friday May 17th                        £800 per week
  • w/c Friday May 24th to w/c Friday August 30th                                   £890 per week
  • w/c Friday September 6th to w/c Friday December 13th                  £800 per week 
  • Christmas Week - w/c Friday December 20th                                     £890 per week
  • New Year - w/c Friday December 27th                                                       £890 per week

Standard Prices - The prices in the table are for up to 7 people staying in the bedrooms, plus any young children using the cots. Price includes all utilities, bed linen and towels for each guest and a welcome pack.

Larger groups – We can also sometimes provide pull out beds or Zbeds, depending on the needs of your group and how you wish to group your sleeping arrangements, please ask. When you receive your booking form, you will be given a diagram showing the rooms and bed layouts to make it easier to work out what combinations will work best for your family. If additional adults are staying and using the sofa bed, pull out beds or mattresses, please add a £25.00 supplement to cover the additional laundering. There is no extra charge for the cot or day bed.

Smaller groups – If you are a couple or small family group who will only need the use of one bedroom, we may be able to offer a discount of up to £150 off the usual price. For example, two adults who will share a room, or parents whose young children will sleep in the family room with them. Please enquire for more details.

Short Breaks

Short breaks are sometimes available from September onwards and up to Easter, (but not including October half term, Christmas and New Year).  

Short breaks are charged as follows:  

3 nights costs 60% of full week price (40% discount).  

4 nights costs 70% of full week price (30% discount).

How To Book

To book your holiday, email contactingtheholt@gmail.com or telephone 01584 831363 and ask for Diane. Give details about your group (numbers of people and any special instructions about sleeping arrangements) to get an accurate price, tailored for your party.

When you have reserved your date, you will be given all the information you need to be able to confidently confirm your booking. We will send a booking form, with a diagram showing the rooms and bed layouts to make it easier to work out what combinations will work best for your family. We also then ask for a deposit to hold your dates for you.

The balance of your payment will be requested 4 weeks before your holiday, at which time we will double check any special requirements you may have. We’ll confirm with you the details for your arrival day. We can also provide you with maps, an inventory so you know what to pack (and not to pack) and any other useful information. We ask for a £100 Good Housekeeping deposit which is returned (or destroyed, if it is a cheque) after we have cleaned after your stay. We very rarely ever have need to keep any part of the deposit but it is there to enable us to be able to rectify any problems or breakages in time for the next guests.

We can take payment by cheque or credit card. Our credit card payments are done via Paypal, for which you do not need a Paypal account, only an email address and credit card. We use Paypal because it is very secure and you don’t have to let us handle your card details.

Terms And Conditions

We will send full terms and conditions and other important details in your booking pack, but please enquire if you have specific questions. As with all holiday bookings we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance to cover your holiday. Ideally it should cover your possessions, accidents and compensate you if you have to cancel your holiday.
